Membership Terms & Conditions

General

  • Membership is annual and follows the financial year from 1 July to 30 June. 
  • Membership fees will be payable as follows:
June - October
Full fee (annual)
November - February
Pro-rata
March - June
Pro-rata for the remainder of that year plus the next full 12 months
  • Membership fees are non-refundable. 
  • Membership fees will be subject to change in line with CPI increases once per year. Any other changes to membership fees will be communicated at least three months in advance of a new membership year (by 1 April). 
  • CAF Membership will be automatically renewed on 1 July each year (Renewal Date), unless the organisation opts out  via this form at least 30 days prior to the Renewal Date.  CAF will provide notice in writing to all members at least 60 days prior to the Renewal Date notifying them of the upcoming Renewal Date and deadline to opt out. Invoices will be sent out by 1 June with payment due by 5pm 30 June. Please be advised that we will charge 1% interest per month on late invoices. 
  • Any material received as a part of membership must not be retransmitted unless noted otherwise or with prior authorisation from CAF. 
  • Any material received as a part of membership must not be reproduced without prior consent from CAF and appropriate acknowledgment. 
  • CAF will treat all information we obtain as a result of your membership in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 
  • Members can terminate their membership at any time by notifying CAF in writing.  
  • Membership is in accordance with CAF’s governing documents (available upon request). 
  • Membership is non-transferable. 
  • All CAF Members must respect the CAF Core Principles. Failure to do so may result in removal or suspension of membership. 
  • You the Member must notify CAF immediately if you engage in any activity which may be harmful to the reputation of CAF.  
  • Members may refer to their CAF Membership and use CAF branding in promotional activities in accordance with the CAF Brand Usage Guidelines for Members. Any usage outside the scope of the Guidelines must receive approval in writing from CAF.  
  • In line with CAF’s multi-stakeholder nature, CAF will aim to maintain equally weighted representation of members according to stakeholder type (union, facility managers/property owners/tenants, and other supporters).  
  • CAF may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Notice of any changes will be provided to Members in writing and will become effective a minimum of two months after communication. 

Membership and certification 

  • CAF Membership is not the same as CAF Certification or CAF Prequalification as Members have not been independently verified by CAF.  
  • Members must not misrepresent their CAF Membership as assurance of their compliance with CAF Standards. Any Member found to be doing so will have their Membership terminated.
