Yes. CAF is an independent incorporated association. CAF is governed by a Steering Committee made up of representatives from across industry including:
- Cleaning companies
- Property owners
- Facility managers
- The union representing cleaners (United Voice)
CAF has been funded by contributions from Steering Committee and Advisory Group members.
CAF is a not for profit incorporated association.
CAF’s membership fees have been designed to ensure that it can continue to be run as a self-sustaining entity.
CAF will ensure the integrity of its certification by way of
- Independent audits
- Ongoing monitoring and verification processes
- Ensuring workers play an active role in CAF.
CAF is creating a balanced certification process that is designed to be rigorous and transparent without imposing undue administrative burdens. CAF is developing its audit and compliance processes in close consultation with stakeholders at all levels of the cleaning supply chain.
